so sorry to just hear of Lindas sad passing. We have happy memories of being new neighbours together in Reedley and Claire and our two girls becoming friends, and how well Linda looked after them when they visited you in America. She was always good fun and caring of other, especially her family, who she was very proud of. Our thoughts are with you at this very sad time. Take care of yourselves and each other. Mark, Nicola, Claire and David would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support, the many kind tributes and ongoing sincere condolences following Linda's untimely passing. The floral tributes received for last evening's well attended Celebration at the Fuller Funeral Home in Naples were stunningly beautiful. Linda would have been thrilled, delighted and deeply touched. It is so sad that she is gone. A big thank you to you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear David and Claire:

Merry Edgar contacted us about Linda's passing. We were so sorry to hear about this and the first thing I said was, "Oh no, Linda's grandchildren will not get to know her as they grow up and turn into adults. How sad for them and what good times they will miss." With heartfelt sympathy for you, Claire and her entire family. We know she will always be in your heart. Stephanie and Chris Johnson

Dear Chris and Stephanie

Thank you for your lovely note and kind support. Linda was "over the moon" regarding her 4 grandsons in MA (5, 4 and 2 X 18m) and her granddaughter in England who has just been accepted by two top UK Universities (Cambridge and York). Best Wishes to you both, David

Mum will always live in our hearts, she was an amazing mum, grandma and mother in law and there are no words to express how much we loved her and will continue to love her, she will always be a part of us and on a daily basis we will think of all of her expressions and phrases that will make us smile and appreciate how much she loved us. Our thoughts and love are with David and Claire and we only wish that we could be with you, however we will see you very soon. We were so very sad to hear of Linda's passing last Wednesday. She was a great friend, a devoted and loving wife, a loving mother and grandmother. Linda was so very proud of her grandchildren she showed us many photos and kept us apprised of news of them.

Linda was a lovely woman and we will miss her so very much. We were very fond of listening to her northern expressions and laughed a lot when she shared them with us. Over the year's we had a lot of fun, it was sad to see her in a lot of pain lately, but Bless her she is probably looking down at us now and saying cheers. Good bye dear friend. May the lord keep you and bind you.

So shocked and sad to hear about Linda s premature death. My brother John and I used to play together when she visited with Aunt Doris and Uncle Basil. (My Mum is Edna, now aged 97, one of Doris s three sisters who were always really close). Then they came to live for a while in part of the vicarage in Blackburn where my father was vicar (it had been divided into two dwellings-it was huge!!) and John remembers sitting next to her at school, I remember Linda giving me Nicola s outgrown dresses for my daughter, then passing them back when she had Claire. We lost touch after she moved to US but the sisters kept us updated! Praying for you all through the coming days.

We are so sorry to learn of Linda's passing. We remember first meeting Linda, David and Claire on Olde Lantern Rd. in Bedford when our dog KC got loose and was cruising the neighborhood with Sally. Thanks to Linda's warm and friendly nature, we soon became friends. Whether it was bumping into Linda in Vista, or enjoying several very fun and memorable New Year's celebrations at David and Linda's home, Linda was always the epitome of grace, class and kindness! We will forever cherish the memories of the fun times in Bedford! Our deepest condolences to David and Claire.

From a pair of friends from Lancashire, we thorough enjoyed listening to Linda especially when phrases from Lancashire were said by Linda a knowing reminder of from where we also came from. Ian & I would glance an all "Knowing" glance & smile at each other. This was a Lady that we enjoyed immensely. David your loss is sudden & the grief is painful. Knowing that Linda was Loved by so many, touching so many hearts will make the coming days slightly easier to bear. May you gain strength from your dear family & friends that surrounds you. Our Love Prayers & Support Always Iris & Ian.

Dear Iris and Ian

Thank you for you the tribute. Linda was especially proud of her heritage and British at the core. We always used to laugh and say that you could take the girl out of Lancashire but not take Lancashire out of the girl!

Claire & I met shortly after the Ormerod's moved to NH from England. We were in 6th grade, 11 years old. We enjoyed many dinners and outings together with our parents. There are so many memories I will never forget. Claire and I were very close while we were in college. In 2004 David & Linda were planning to move to Hong Kong. It would be the first time they were away from their Claire. I promised Linda (and David) I would watch out for Claire as she was my best friend. Now, with her loving mother and best confidant gone, I want to promise Linda once again that I will look out for our Claire.
I adored Linda's English heritage and loved learning English terms and their meanings. I will forever be grateful for my memories when I was part of Claire's wedding to Bob and was able to spend lots of time with Linda. I will also cherish the times when they visited and I was able to see them at their grandchildren's birthday parties. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She lived an amazing life provided by her loving husband but it was her family that meant the most to her. I will never forget Linda and all my memories of her. Sending love & prayers to David and Claire and Linda's entire family. ❤️❤️❤️

Will continue to miss our weekly dinners! It was so fun getting to know Linda and her husband David. Can't help but chuckle at the English expressions and words she taught and shared with us! And she was so insulted when I dared to mention that British food didn't have a reputation as being that great! She couldn't pile on enough praise for her children, grandchildren and husband, David. Fish and chips, French fries and good wine will always remind me of Linda! Was so looking forward to a visit to our new home. Missing you forever! Karen

My dearest mom, best friend, and adoring grandma- I will forever love you. You were my sound board when times got tough and I will miss picking up the phone and calling you. You were a beautiful woman inside and out. You loved your family, your husband and your grandchildren to the moon and back. One of my favorite things you ever called me was "Flower Pot." I am your Flower Pot and I am going to do my best to bloom and grow and when times get tough I will always look up to you in heaven and you will help guide me! We will all do our best to take care of dad and make sure he is loved! I love you and I will miss you so much!
