Lynn Leon Loscutoff

Lynn Leon Loscutoff died peacefully in her home in Naples, Florida on May 16th, due to natural causes.
Lynn was a dynamic woman, innovator, painter, teacher, author, loving wife, mother and grandmother. 
Born August 10th 1934, in San Francisco, she was the daughter of Edward Joseph and Mabel Leon. She was the sister of 2 sisters, Agnes and Alice and brother, Edward.
A life-long learner, she attended the University of Southern California, Boston University, the Art Institute of Chicago, Boston, and the Museum School Boston. 
Lynn married her husband, James Loscutoff in September 1952. Afterward, they moved to Boston where Jim signed with the Boston Celtics. He went on to win 7 championships. 
Post Celtics, she and Jim moved to Andover where they started a summer day camp for boys and girls, Camp Evergreen. The camp continues to this day, now the 55th year, being run by their son, Jim Loscutoff .
From 1976-1984, she served as the executive director of Boston's prestigious Copley Society.
She went on to be an accomplished artist and teacher, teaching art in Rockport and Naples, Florida, as well on the maiden voyage of the Queen Mary 2, World Cruise, Queen Elizabeth and European Tour, Royal Princess.
She studied and painted all over the world, but one of her fondest memories was painting in Monet's garden. She felt "painters were philosophers, psychologists, mathematicians, chemists, scientists and poets."
Lynn is a published author with several books on painting and Memoir of her life with Jungle Jim and being a Celtics wife.
She was loved by all who knew her. She was full of life and never dull!
Lynn is survived by her sister, Agnes; her three children, James Jr, Holly Lynn and Carol Alice; her 9 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral service on May 25th at 11 am. being held at the First Congregational Church in Rockport, MA. Service continues at the internment at the Seaside Cemetery in Laneville.
