Mari Sproul Demsky, 55, of Naples Florida died unexpectedly at her home on September 2, 2021. 

Mari was born on December 28, 1965 in Santa Barbara, California to the late Merrill Frederick Sproul II and Gloria Gene Sproul.

Mari grew up in Old Greenwich Connecticut and was always surrounded by a huge circle of friends, many of whom she remained in contact with over the years.  Mari attended Greenwich High School and later moved with her family to Michigan.  She graduated from Frankfort High School in 1983.

Mari studied at the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising (LIM) in New York City. In 1990, she gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Kelsey, who would always be the joy of her life. 

Mari had many accomplishments in her lifetime.  She was active in the community, volunteering for many causes that were near and dear to her heart.  After becoming a mom, she started an in home daycare and later went on to a long career in retail sales. 

Mari had a difficult journey having been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12 yet she always kept a positive attitude despite her many health issues throughout the years. 

Mari was a very loving, kind and gentle soul who always wanted the people in her life to be happy and feel loved.  She had an infectious laugh and smile that would light up a room.  Mari loved gardening, especially caring for her large selection of orchids, cooking, being outdoors at the beach, and the freedom of being able to jump on her bike for an adventure.  She also had a special love for fur babies of all kinds. 

Mari is survived by her daughter Kelsey and partner Mark McAloney (Brooklyn, New York) mother Gloria Gene Sproul (Frankfort, Michigan), brother Trip Sproul and wife Betty (Tucson, Arizona), sister Lisa Sproul Hagen and husband Rick (Damariscotta, Maine), sister Dena Daugherty (Ridgefield, Connecticut,), friend Paul Nuccilli (Michigan) and her many nieces and nephews.

Mari left this world a kinder place and she will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
