Marilyn Louise (Potzka) Coleman

Marilyn Louise Coleman, 77, of Naples, FL, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. Formerly of Lexington, MA, she had been a seasonal resident of Naples for many years and moved here in 2011. She was born May 29, 1943 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Joseph and Bernice (née Pavilonis) Potzka.

Marilyn graduated from Lexington High School, married and raised a family in her hometown, while pursuing a long career at Polaroid.  The family spent summers in New Hampshire, most recently on Little Squam Lake.  Marilyn enjoyed puzzles, games, crafting, cooking and traveling.  Her most favorite activity was enjoying a glass of Chardonnay with her family and she was widely admired for her family values she instilled in so many.   

Mrs. Coleman is survived by her loving children, Donald (Kimberlee) Coleman of Acton, MA, Cheryl Coleman of Estero, FL and Laurie Coleman of Stoneham, MA; her sisters and brothers, Charles (Judy) Potzka, Janice (the late John) Sampson, Joseph (Barbara) Potzka Jr., Linda (Richard) Batstone, Philip (Josephine) Potzka and Kenneth (Jane) Potzka; seven cherished grandchildren, Michael (Susan), Jacklyn (Kyle), Miranda, Julia, Christina, Marissa and Anthony; and two treasured great grandchildren, Emersyn and Nash.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald William “Don” Coleman Sr. in 2017.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
