Mark Denton Adams

Mark Denton Adams of Naples, Florida passed away on July 6th, 2019. Mark was born on August 28th, 1959 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, David Delmas Adams and his brother Raymond Bruce Adams. 

Mark attended grade school in Cary, North Carolina and graduated from Athen’s Drive High School in 1979. After graduation, Mark went on to complete technology coursework at Wake Tech and North Carolina State University. He launched a brilliant career in Software Development and Technology that he led for over 30 years. His most recent work was alongside the IT Systems team at the Collier County Sheriff’s Office where he enjoyed serving our local deputies. 

In addition to holding a close and profound admiration for the United States and its history, Mark enjoyed spending time fishing off the Outer Banks of North Carolina, collecting rock and roll albums and driving his sports cars. He most loved spending time with his son, Nick. 

Mark is survived by his son, Johnathan Nicholas (“Nick”) Adams, mother Susie Denton Adams, sister Kathy Powell (Mark Powell, husband), brother David Adams, sister Tracy Bass (Barry Bass, husband), nephews Ray Adams, Matthew Adams, Zachary Powell, Kyle Bass, Sam Bass, Aubry Bass, his niece Kaitlyn Powell and Nick’s sister Tiffany Privett (Chad Privett, husband, Tyler & Gwen Privett, children). 

According to his wishes, his family will hold a private celebration of his life in western North Carolina.
