Michael F. Caton passed away at NCH in Naples on November 15, 2020 surrounded by loving family. He was born July2,1938 in Detroit, Michigan to Ann  (Fitzgerald) Caton and Edmund Caton. Growing up in Detroit, he attended Gesu Grade School and UofD Jesuit High School. After graduation from John Carroll University, Cleveland, Mike entered the Marine Corps, OCS, and served 1961-1964. He married Margy Jurmo in 1965 and they celebrated the births of their son and daughter. Mike spent his career with SKF , Swedish Bearing Company, 1967 to 2000. Hired in Detroit-Sales Rep, 1970 Buffalo, 1975 Detroit-District Manager, 1985 Cincinnati- Regional Manager, VP of Sales, 1998 Philadelphia-North American Segment Manager-SKF Precision Bearing Group.  Mike loved his job; enjoying all the places the family lived; traveling with Margy ; retiring to Naples and golf at Vanderbilt Country Club; the memorable times with his son and daughter  in sports, coaching, as well as the joy of being involved in his four grandchildren’s lives when their parents moved to Naples in 2005! Mike is survived by his wife Margy, son Patrick Caton(Amanda), daughter Kristy Buschle (Andy), four grandchildren: Charlie, Olivia, Max, and Annie Buschle, brother John Caton (Jan), sister Virginia  Acheson (Bill), brother Chris Petersen, brother-in-law Paul Jurmo (Olga), beloved nieces and nephews.  Mike will be remembered for his quick wit and terrific sense of humor which made him many wonderful friends.  He never stopped learning, read constantly, an authority on history, a huge sports fan. He was a man of great resolve, generosity, and loved his family. His faith was very important to him. He is terribly missed by his family and friends. A private family Mass of Christian Burial with internment in the Columbarium was held at St. Agnes  Church in Naples. There will be a Memorial in Detroit at a later date.
