Miriam Herrera, 81, passed away on September 7 at her home in the company of her family.
Miriam was born to Jose and Emelina Rodriguez on September 27, 1936 in Santa Fe, Isla de Pinos, Cuba. She married in 1960 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1965 and has resided in Naples ever since.
Miriam was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished her family above all, and had many lifelong friends. Anyone who knew her was drawn to her loving and giving personality and her beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed.
Her loving family includes her husband, Nicolas Roselio "Leo" Herrera; her two sons, Jesus (Michelle) Herrera and Jorge Herrera; her sister Elda Rodriguez Fernandez; brothers Giraldo Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez (deceased); grandchildren Nicholas Herrera, Jessica Herrera, Anthony Herrera, Jorge Alexander Herrera, and Ethan and Lilianna Herrera (deceased); several great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation and service will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, on Wednesday, September 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Private burial service will be held on Thursday at Palm Royale Cemetery.
