Morton Irwin Shane, 76 of Naples, formerly of Milwaukee, WI, died on Saturday, November 25, 2017.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on May 14, 1941,the son of Morris and Mary (Rubenstein) Schoenberg.  Morton moved to Milwaukee as a young child where he attended Washington High School and then the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Mort enjoyed a very successful Insurance career that spanned more than 50 years. From 1964-1974 he sold life and health insurance for Bankers Life and Casualty where he won many awards. This paved his way to start his own independent insurance agency in Wisconsin from 1974- 1984

Having had many opportunities to work with diversified companies led Mort to his third career, marketing small group health, life and dental insurance for Employers Health Insurance and American Medical Security. He marketed the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois and Florida. Mort won many top awards for ten consecutive years for his achievements which included international and domestic travel.

In 2001 Mort and his wife Susan became snowbirds to Naples where he enjoyed golfing, swimming, exercising, the beach and the weather. Most of all he loved his family, his children; Carolyn Shane, Linda Cayle, Marc Cayle and his beloved grandchildren; Tori and Jared who gave him so much joy. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family which was so important to him. He was generous, caring, loving and put his family first. The love of his life Susan who he cherished was his friend, confident and shared a full and rewarding life together. He will be missed by family and friends. Besides Mort’s Family, he is survived by many loving relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service officiated by Rabbi Adam Miller will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples.
