Neil Andrew Crichton Jr., 57, of Naples, FL, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2019. Over the last 10 years Drew was a Naples resident where he earned his Florida Community Association Manager (CAM) license and worked as a portfolio manager with numerous communities.
Drew was born September 14, 1962 in Washington, DC and graduated from Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD. After graduation he resided in several cities while working in the food and beverage industry including; Raleigh, NC, Miami, FL, Philadelphia, PA, New York, NY and Campinas São Paulo Brazil.
Friends and family share that Drew was a very smart, funny, adventurous soul who cared deeply for those around him. Drew excelled in his professional life working at some of the most well-regarded restaurants in the country including the Biltmore (Miami), The Palm (New York, NY), City Tavern (Philadelphia, PA) and Flemings (Naples, FL).
Drew enjoyed utilizing the skills he learned in the food and beverage industry to share great food and wine for the enjoyment of his friends and family.
Drew is survived by his loving mother, Frances Sanders Lauriat and her long term companion Richard Dahnke; his brothers, Brian Crichton of Birmingham, AL and Tom Crichton of San Diego, CA; his sisters-in-law Karen Crichton of Birmingham, AL and Pam Crichton of Hiram, GA; as well as, multiple stepsiblings, nieces and nephews.
Drew was preceded in death by his father, Neil Andrew Crichton Sr. in 2013, his brother, Paul Crichton in 2000 and his stepfather F. Thornton Lauriat in 2002.
A memorial gathering is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
