Paul Reagan, 67, of Naples, FL died in his home on May 3, 2018. Born in Oak Park, IL he was the son of the late Robert and Miriam (Shea) Reagan. Paul graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1972 with a degree in History. He married Susan Nevin in 1976. Paul and Susan were both teachers, now retired, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School.
Mr. Reagan was a patient and supportive teacher with a passion for history and social studies. His sense of humor and enthusiasm for educating made him a favorite among his students. Paul always put family first, whether it was delivering early morning donuts to his nieces and nephews, cooking all morning at his annual “Paul’s Diner”, working in the summer heat on home improvement projects for his siblings, or sharing his love of 70's rock and roll with his children. Paul coached baseball with Greater Naples Little League for fifteen years. His love for the game and for working with young athletes influenced his son, who coached alongside him.
Mr. Reagan is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughter and son-in-law, Carlin (Reagan) and David Bowers of Swampscott, MA; and two grandchildren; his son, Shea Reagan of Delray Beach, FL; his siblings and in-laws, Michael and Donna (Moroni) Reagan, Walter and Mary Grace (Reagan) Weaver, Ellen (Reagan) Mills, Dave and Mimi (Reagan) Brownell, Joseph and Julia (Yuzhakov) Reagan, James and Maryelizabeth (Reagan) Pender, Shea and Katherine (McGorisk) Reagan, and John and Tricia (Keaveney) Reagan, Joe and Nancy (Nevin) Valrose, Ken and Kathy (Nevin) Schaffnit, and Hugh and Patricia (Nevin) Holson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lenny Mills.
Mr. Reagan will be honored in a ceremony at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Naples, FL on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10 AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Reagan’s life.
