Paula Marie Flanagan

January 31, 1958 ~ January 15, 2022 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Tribute

Paula Marie Flanagan, 63, of Naples, passed away early on the morning of Saturday, January 15 after a nearly three-year long courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones at home at the time of her passing.

Paula was born on January 31, 1958 to Eileen and Robert Flanagan in Boston, MA. She grew up in Marlborough and Charlton, MA. She attended Marlborough High School, Charlton High School, Shepherd Hill Regional High School, and graduated from Marion High School. After graduating in 1976, Paula worked at Wright Line in Worcester, MA doing data entry, and took a few courses at Assumption College in computer coding.

When Paula had her first child, Kristen, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother, going on to have three more children Lisa, Matthew, and James. Paula excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of her family, through and through.

Growing up, Paula loved to waterski, ice skate, and bicycle. Throughout the years, Paula started her own home-cleaning service, was active in her children’s schools and activities, participated in church events and clubs, actively read, was an amazing cook, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved her cats, and being a mom and grammy.

When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth, fun, and kindness, she could be found going out to dinner, spending time with friends, or at church.

Paula lived in Worcester and Grafton, MA prior to moving to her paradise, Naples, in 2012.

Paula was predeceased by her father, Robert, and her sister, Carol Flanagan Pepi. She is survived by her mother Eileen, by her beloved children, Kristen Tomaiolo and her fiancé Richard Cody of Newton, MA, Lisa Cortes and her husband Rafael of Cape Coral, FL, Matthew Tomaiolo and his fiancé Esperanza Jimenez of Naples, FL, and James Tomaiolo of Tampa, FL, along with their father John Tomaiolo, by her grandsons Roman and Silas Cortes, by her brothers Patrick Flanagan and his wife Elizabeth, and Brian Flanagan, and her sister Nancy Flanagan Nichols and her husband Matthew, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Paula was a strong woman who leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
