February 4, 1929 ~ January 3, 2023 (age 93) 93 Years Old

Tribute

Raymond E. Fink Sr., 93, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023 with members of his family at his side. Born and raised on the north side of Chicago, he was the youngest son of the late Julie (McCarville) and Joe Fink. A graduate of St. Margaret Mary and Loyola Academy, he followed two of his brothers to the University of Notre Dame. Sadly, his time at Notre Dame was cut short when he returned to Chicago to help his father care for his terminally ill mother. He later graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Business Administration and was a second-generation owner of Efengee Electrical Supply Co., a business founded by his father.

Ray loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer and tennis player. In high school, he was the city champion in doubles tennis, and he continued to play for many years with his wife, children and friends. The father of 8 children, he enjoyed spending time with each of them and taught them to boat, sail, water ski and BBQ during their summers on Lake Michigan. He also instilled his great love of Notre Dame football and the Chicago Bears in each of them. He was a man who lived his Catholic faith daily. He was loving, kind, generous and respectful to everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him, and he was always a true gentleman.

Ray was the loving husband of 62 years of the late Mary Lou Fink (Schmitz) and devoted father of Julia Ortwerth, Raymond Jr. (Susan), Pete (Jennifer), Mary Krombach, Patti, Joan (Michael) Caskey, Bob (Shawn), and Mark (Shari).

Loving Grandfather of Kevin (Erin), Raymond III, Michaela (Mike) Henry, Christopher, Bradley Ortwerth, Elizabeth (Matt) Clay, Megan Ortwerth, Michael (Meggie) Krombach, Tricia (Ricky) Kopec, Tori Crandell, Calen (Joshua) Smith, Ryan (Lilly), Brendan and Erin.

Doting Great-grandfather of Remi Lou and Nash Clay, Lila & Davis, Charlie, Ryerson & Emery Henry, Margaret, Rhodie and Houston Krombach and Reagan Kopec.

Survived by his sister, Maureen and sister-in-law, Liz. Predeceased by his brothers, Ken (Rita), Allen, Bob (Pat) and granddaughter, Emily Krombach.
