Rebecca “Becky” Wanamaker , 78, passed away peacefully in her home March 25, 2021, in Naples, Florida. She was born April 16, 1942 in Lima, Ohio to Robert Lentz and Marjorie Brubaker who preceded her in death. On August 31, 1963, she married James Wanamaker who survives. Rebecca graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School, attended Saint Rita’s School of Nursing, obtained her BSN from Defiance College and her masters degree from the University of Dayton. She retired from Marimor School and Industries after 23 years of service as the school nurse. Rebecca was an avid golfer, a member of Shawnee Country Club and Naples Grande . She was a volunteer at the Guadalupe Center in Immokalee, Florida and Saint Matthews House in Naples, Florida. She had a passion for boxer rescue and her beloved Rosie dog. Survivors include her children, James (Kelly) Wanamaker Jr of New Braunfels, TX. Sara (Dave) Bustetter of Maineville, OH, Amy (Eric) Lloyd of Naples , FL, Andy ( Tricia) Wanamaker of Harrod, OH and Amanda Wanamaker of Naples , FL; a sister, Ruthanne (Fred) Neu of St Louis, MO; 13 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 16, 2021 in the gazebo at Gethsemeni Cemetery in Lima, OH. Father David Ross will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Florida Boxer Rescue and Avow Hospice in Naples, FL.
