Relda Buckheit

Relda A. Buckheit, formerly of Vermont and Long Island NY, passed away on July 17, 2020. She was born on February 12, 1930 in Huntington NY to Frana and Stephen Hegeman.

Relda married Thomas Buckheit on October 7, 1950. They were married for 68 years. Relda is survived by her daughter Karen Smilovich (Flavio) of Meriden CT, son Robert Buckheit (Susan) of Flower Mound TX, granddaughter Lauren Smilovich (Michael) of South Londonderry VT, great- grandson Weston, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relda was a permanent resident of Naples FL since 1997. She was an active parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and served many years as Eucharist Minister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 10 am at St. Peter the Apostle Church. Burial will follow in the church columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Rd, Naples FL 34113.
