Richard R. Weinrich

Richard R. Weinrich, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully in Naples, FL on March 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Louise Weinrich, and brother, Tim Weinrich.

He will be remembered by his wife Nancy Essebaggers. His children Erin Diotte (Matt) and Michael and Ryan Weinrich (Jen). His stepsons Jeffrey Essebaggers (Jennifer) and Brian Jenkins. His grandsons Dylan and Landon. His step granddaughter’s Madison and Olivia. His brothers Ronald Weinrich (Lorrie) and Jeff Weinrich. His sister Ruth Kenney (Ed).

Richard adored his grandchildren (Papa) and step grandchildren. He was affectionately called ‘Pops’.

Richard was the first to offer a hand and would do anything for anyone, and, did it with a smile.  He always put others first before himself.  He had a great sense of humor, made everyone he met feel acknowledged and like an old friend and would NOT let anyone fuss over him.

Richard was born in Petoskey one of six children. His family later moved to Grand Rapids. He was a proud alumnus of Western Michigan University. He had a very successful sales career at Buyers Products spanning over 30+ years.  

Richard loved baseball and played collegiately at Western Michigan and in the minor leagues. He deeply enjoyed playing golf with his many closest friends at the Vineyards Country Club and Detroit Golf Club. You could also find Richard often enjoying a Sudoku puzzle.

 In our world today, we need more people like Pops.  We will all miss him dearly but know he is always in our hearts and watching over us.

A visitation will be held at Fuller Funeral Home Pine Ridge in Naples, Florida on March 16th from 10am to Noon EST followed by a funeral service.  Fuller Funeral Home’s address is 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, FL 34109.
