Robert Allie died peacefully at Vitas Hospice in Naples, FL after a long illness. Bob attended Peabody High School and North Shore Community College. He worked for Ipswich Shellfish and Ipswich Maritime as well as Analogic Corporation in Danvers, MA. One of Bob’s biggest joys was coaching the Over Thirty Softball League in Ipswich and eventually umpiring for them earning his nickname “Coach”. He and his wife moved to Naples in 2004. His love of golf began when he worked at a local golf course and started a men’s golf league in Naples. He will be missed.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Jo Ann of Naples, FL; daughter, Danielle Allie of Amesbury, MA and two step-children, Carrie Clasby of Ipswich, MA and Craig Jenkins of Rose Hill, KS. He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Allie and Josephine (McCadden) Allie of West Peabody; three brothers, Leo Allie, Jr., George Allie and Kevin Allie and a sister, Joanne Allie.
