Ryan Patrick Joyce

Ryan Patrick Joyce, 18, of Naples died unexpectedly February 11, 2017. Ryan was born in Naples and was attending his senior year at Gulf Coast High School. His academic interest was in engineering and he planned to major in hardware computer engineering in the Fall Semester of 2017. He also participated in several extra-curricular groups at his school and was a member of the Solar Powered Go-Cart Championship team last year.

Unknown to many, Ryan had battled Mitochondrial disease his whole life.

Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Becky Joyce and his sister, Jessica Joyce Garrison. He had many aunts and uncles, Mary Grahm, Sally Richter, Shelly Rundle, Tom Richter, Richard, Bobby, Timmy, Chris, and Bart Joyce. He is also survived by a niece, Adelynn Garrison, his paternal grandmother, Mary Joyce, and his paternal grandparents, Sandra and Michael Richter, and a very large extended family.

Relatives and friends may call at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 5 to 8pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 17 at 10:00am at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road. Burial will follow at Palm Royale Cemetery.
