Thomas Crombie

Thomas Crombie (a.k.a. Thomas Ikemoto), a proud veteran of the Army in WWII, passed away September 11th, 2021. The son of Ella Crombie and George Ikemoto, Thomas grew up in Hamilton, Ontario. He was born April 5th, 1929. At the age of 15, Thomas enlisted in the United States Army as a Canadian Citizen, lying about his age. He served in the Army from age 15 to 17. He valued this service highly. As part of his service, Thomas was awarded the purple heart when a gasoline tanker exploded near him. Thomas’s stepfather was Japanese and Thomas went on to fight in the pacific during WWII. Thomas is survived by his wife Patricia, Step-Daughter Kim, and Step-Son Michael. His loved ones will remember the way Thomas smiled and joked around. A service honoring the life of Thomas will be held at Fuller Funeral Home (Pine Ridge) on September 17th 2021, from 3-6pm. We would like to invite all Friends, Family, Veterans, and Scouts (BSA) to remember Thomas.
