Viola (Converse) Smith

Viola C. Smith of Naples, Florida passed away at home on June 1,2021 surrounded by her family.

Viola Converse was born in Shelby, Michigan and spent her early years in Ferry, Michigan. On July 3,1942 she married Carl G. Smith with whom she enjoyed 73 years together.

Viola was an avid bridge player and an accomplished golfer.. She also enjoyed traveling extensively with Carl and with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2015. She is survived by her brother Byron Converse and her children Carlin (Tom) Miner, Gail Anne Smith, Kevin (Kim) Smith, and Kim (Thad) Franklin.

Her family also includes ten Grandchildren, fifteen Great Grandchildren, and two Great-Great Grandchildren.

A celebration of Viola’s life will be planned for a later date. As a remembrance, please consider the Macular Degeneration Association.
