Virginia M. Fagen

Virginia M. Fagen (nee Meixel) of Naples, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 16, 2018 at The Arlington of Naples.  Ginny was an excellent bridge player and golfer at Royal Palm Country Club. She also enjoyed volunteering, playing the organ, traveling, hostessing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ginny met her husband Lee while attending Indiana University.  They married in 1949 and enjoyed 60 years together before his death in 2009.

She is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Susan Kay (Richard) Sawyer of Naples, John (Maggie) Meixel of Las Vegas, NV, Beth Anderson of Gaylord, MI, and Ken (Sue) Anderson of Williamsburg, MI.  She had many grand nieces and nephews as well; Robyn (Tim) Kyger of Naples, Jesse (Audrey) Sawyer of Asheville, NC; Amanda (Kyle) Kinghorn of Knoxville,TN, Scott (Lauren) Meixel of Mesa, CA.  Great nieces and nephews include Sophie Sawyer, Jackson and Andrew Kinghorn, Ryan Meixel, Cacey, Allen, and Charles Anderson.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 20th at 10:00 AM, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5130 Rattlesnake Hammock Road, Naples.
