Walter Bruce Turrel

Walter was born in Naples, FL and resided there his entire life. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Bruce & Patricia Green, Mother Peggy Rix, and Uncles Wally, Bruce and Charlie Green.

Walter leaves behind his daughter Savana Turrel, sisters Karie & Melissa Turrel, brother David Rix, Stepfather Maurice Rix, stepsister Stephanie Rucker & stepbrother Jason Rix, nieces Turina Rascher and Emily Martin, nephew Noah Martin and many more nieces and nephews. 

Walter, or as many people knew him as Wally, was my brother, my rock, and my world. He was another angel taken from us too soon. One of Walter’s best qualities was his ability to make people laugh. He could make a joke out of anything but he also knew how to push your buttons. There were not many people that he met that he did not befriend. 

Walter was employed by Peluso Movers for 14 years and loved what he did. He would often call and share about the journeys that his job had taken him on and the things and places he got to see. 

He loved fishing, football, the swamp buggy races and most of all his hip hop music. 

Walter was a brother, a father, a friend and most of all a kind soul. He will be truly missed by all.

Friends and family, please join us in honoring Walter Turrel's life at Lowdermilk Beach South side Gazebo on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. There will be a butterfly release by immediate family to represent this time of change, transformation and freedom.  Please bring any photos, memories, and stories that you would like to share.  We look forward to sharing this time with the people he loved.
