William R Creeth

September 18, 1945 ~ January 3, 2018 (age 72) 72 Years Old

William R Creeth (Will or Bill) passed away January 3rd 2018 in Naples Florida at the age of 72 from esophageal cancer. He is survived by wife Terry and his 3 children: Robert Creeth (Lisa), Jennifer Keen (Curt), and Kelly McLaughlin (Danny). He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren Skylar, Maxwell, and Austin Mclaughlin, Drew, Nick Smock, Branden Keen, Lindsay, Carley, and Jacob Creeth.

Will was born on September 18, 1945 in Larchmont New York and graduated from Mamaroneck High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968. He served during the Vietnam War era and joked that he laughed at danger while serving at Fort Benjamin Harrison in the finance department. He married Terry on September 28th 1968. They met at Frisch’s Big Boy, a local hamburger hangout in the 60s. They settled in Indiana and he worked at Eli Lilly for 34 years.

When he retired, Terry said he needed a hobby so he picked up golf. He attributed his hole in one to sheer luck. He loved to ride his bike and go to the beach. They found a second home in Bloomfield Circle in Royal Wood, Naples Florida. He loved summers by the pool with family and friends where he’d cookout. He was always sure to have a cold beer and freeze pops for everyone. He also loved to go out to eat with family and friends and god forbid he let someone else pay for dinner. There was always a struggle over who was going to pay. Whether friends in Florida or family or friends in Indy he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him. He was the kindest and most generous man, and left a mark on all that got the chance to know him.

A Celebration of Life is planned for January 9th from 2-4pm at the Bloomfield Circle pool in Royal Wood. In the event of inclement weather, the Celebration will be held at 5955 Bloomfield Circle 304A. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Will’s life. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Cancer society.
