William E. Walsh (Bill), 58, passed away on December 15, 2018 at his home in Naples, Florida. He was born on September 27, 1960 in Southington, Connecticut.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jennifer Walsh, nee Levensaler; his daughter Rebecca (Jason) Walsh; his mother Constance Walsh, nee Goulet; sisters Pat (Lester) Makowski and Carol (Francis) Krawiec; and brother Robert (Debbie) Walsh. Bill is also survived by his longtime friend Joe Notarianni, whom he considered to be a brother, and countless other extended family members and devoted friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Walsh.
Bill moved to Naples, Florida with his wife and two-year old daughter in 1994. He quickly became a pillar of the community, and spent many successful years in the car business. In August of 2000, Bill received the gift of life through an organ donor. From then on, he chose to devote his life to the service of others. Bill helped to found Naples Auto Donation Center, a nonprofit car dealership that partners with local charities and works to benefit those less fortunate in our local community. He also acted as a Guardian ad Litem, giving a voice to foster children in the courtroom and offering them a guiding hand in life. Bill's greatest passions in life were his wife and daughter, and he was driven by a desire to help brighten the lives of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life gathering to honor Bill will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Pavilion of Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, 11100 Gulf Shore Drive, Naples, FL 34108 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Bill requested that this be a time of celebration, story-telling and remembering happy times together. Dress in something bright, cheerful and comfortable.
