William Angus Ringland, Jr.

William Angus Ringland Jr., 85, of Naples, FL, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. Formerly of Wiscasset, ME, he had been a Naples resident for the last 30 years. He was born April 16, 1935 in Woburn, MA, the son of Audrey (née Campbell) and William Angus Ringland Sr.

Bill Ringland accepted the Lord as his Savior while serving in the USAF in 1956.  He served from 1955-1971. He loved his Lord and worked at Tri-City Church in Somersworth NH, Woolwich-Wiscasset Baptist Church in Woolwich, ME and First Baptist Church in Naples. He loved singing, body building and running for distance. He never met a stranger!

Mr. Ringland is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Sharon T. (née Warner) Ringland; his beloved daughters, Savanna (Michael) Marlborough of Leawood, KS and Yolande (the late Thomas) Clark of Somersworth, NH; his stepdaughters, Sandy Peliseck of Sun City, FL, Susan Gray of Greenville, SC, Sheila Smith of Virginia Beach, VA;  Kathy (Bob) Eickhoff of Cold Spring MN, Stepson John Dugan of Ellijay, GA; his sister, Linda (the late Dana) Thurlow of New Vineyard, ME; 20 cherished grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his previous wives, Virginia (née Webb) Ringland in 2009 and Dorothy (nee Rix) Ringland in 2012, his sisters and brothers; Audrey Ross of Newton, MA, David Ringland of Haverhill, MA, Paul Ringland of Germany and Wilma Ringland of Naples.

Interment will take place at the Sarasota National Cemetery in September 2020.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
