Zaida M Rosario

Zaida Milagros Rosario (Padro), passed away peacefully at her Naples home, August 3, 2018, after her courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Her loving caregivers, daughter, Brenda and son in-law, Jorge were at her side. Born July 29, 1935 in Manati, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Tito and Cruz Padro (Gonzalez).

Zaida grew up in Puerto Rico and throughout her life lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida. She married Teodosio “Tatin” Rosario in 1960 and they moved to Connecticut. They had 7 children who blessed her with 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Teodosio Rosario; daughters, Brenda (Jorge), Vivian (Jose), Wilma, Bethzaida, Angelica, Awilda and son, Gerson. She also leaves her grandchildren, Jonathan, Melanie, Ashley, Matthew, Melody, Xavier, Darien, Theodore, K’hari, Cori, Jayden, and Jordan; and great grandchildren, Arianna, Anijah, Kayleigh, Jayla, Malaki, and Messiah.

Zaida, our mother, was a remarkable woman who single handedly raised 7 children. A devoted mother and a caring teacher, her love for children encouraged her to return to school to obtain her early childhood development credentials. She taught children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade at Mary Hooker School in Hartford, Connecticut. She touched the lives of many while inspiring them and us to be their best. She also loved gardening, salsa music, dance and most of all "le gustava la gasolina y paseos."

Today we celebrate the life of our mom. Mom was the epitome of love, strength and kindness. She was an influence and inspiration to her kids and to all who crossed her path. Mom loved us all unconditionally and despite all of her struggles in life she was selfless and always helping others. Watching mom make things happen was like magic. She made us who we are today and for that we are grateful. As she soars her wings into eternity she will be greatly missed. God has gained a true angel, the most special angel of all, our mom.

Mom, your memory will live in all of our hearts forever.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 9th, 2018 from 9AM - 11AM at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, 34112. The funeral service will begin at 11:00AM with final committal immediately following at Palm Royale Cemetery, 6780 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, 34119.
