Charles Emanuel Hart, III

On Wednesday, August 17, 2022 our beloved friend, father, brother, and husband Charles Emanuel John Hart III entered eternal life. He was 57 years old.

Charles was born on October 6, 1964 in San Diego, California to Charles Hart, Jr. and Lola Hart. Upon graduating High School, he joined the Air Force and traveled around the world. He loved to immerse himself in the culture.  He knew he wanted to help people once he retired from the military. After 25 years of service, he became a Registered Nurse to fulfill his calling to serve the Lord and His people. He worked at Alaska Native Medical Center for nine years and then Physician’s Regional Hospital for two years forming life-long friendships along the way.

Charles was known for his impeccable sense of humor. His wit and charm would bring light to everyone around him.  A humble man of profound faith, Charles kept his eyes on the prize of heaven. He loved his family and friends for their own sake. He offered all of his sufferings up for the souls in purgatory and for the glory of God. The day before he died, he consecrated himself to Saint Joseph. He was consecrated to Our Lady for the entirety of his marriage.

Charles is proceeded in death by his mother and father Charles and Lola Hart. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Carole, and his children: Amanda, Shane (Ashley), Veronica, Felicity, Bernadette, Stephen, Matthias and Dominic, his sisters Mary Lavaliere and Teresa Mead, two grandchildren, Naomi and Coulson and four Godchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at  Ave Maria Catholic Church. The family will receive visitors at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with Military Honors will take place Wednesday, August 24, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
