David P. Thompson

David P. Thompson, 56, of Naples, FL passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022.  He was born June 21, 1966 in Pittsburgh, PA to David and Celene Thompson and moved to Naples in 1980.  David graduated from Naples High School in 1984, Florida State University and Detroit College of Law. He founded Muller-Thompson Funeral Chapel in 1996 along with his partners, Marcia and Todd Muller. He continued with a long career in property management, building many meaningful relationships.

He is survived by his wife, Ginger & daughter, Ava, both of Bonita Springs, FL; mother, Celene Thompson of Naples, FL; mother and father-in-law, Ann & Jim Vogt of Louisville, KY; sister, Nicki (Howard) Hazen of Estero, FL; brother-in-law, Jim (Allyson) Vogt of Mayfield, KY; nieces and nephews, Parker and Holly Hazen, Ryan (Alexandria), Eric (Ellen Ward) and Chris Vogt and great-niece, Vivian Vogt.

David was preceded in death by his baby twin boys, David Clay and James Paul Thompson and his father, David Miller Thompson.

We will remember David for his big smile, generous heart, intelligent mind and his passion for international travel. David loved spoiling Ava’s friends including them on trips and he considered them as his additional daughters. As a final act of kindness, David made a donation to The Florida Lions Eye Bank, giving someone the gift of sight.

A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd. Naples.
