Joseph W. Hart, Jr.

Joe passed away peacefully on August 5, 2022 at the age of 86.  He was a native of Nashville, Tennessee but had resided in Naples for the last 53 years.  He was the Founder of the Davis Hart Insurance Agency which served Naples for over twenty years. Joe was a passionate Christian and member of First Baptist Church.  He was committed to serving those less fortunate and one of his most heartfelt accomplishments was to help establish an orphanage in the Bahamas.  He was an enthusiastic boater and fisherman in a golfing capital.

Joe is survived by Peg, his wife of 65 years, best friend and childhood sweetheart and his two sons, Joe Hart III and Bill Hart, and four grandchildren, Varina Shaughnessy (Andrew), Ben Hart, Harrison Hart, and Chaffin Hart.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alice Lloyd College in Kentucky to aid in flood relief or to the St. Matthew’s House in Naples.

Graveside services will be held at Naples Memorial Gardens on Friday August 12th at 10 AM.  A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church on August 12th from 5 PM to 6 PM.
