July 3, 1939 ~ May 11, 2023 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Tribute

Rose Ann Gannon Fallon died peacefully in Naples, Florida, on May 11th, at the age of 83.  Rose and her twin sister Helen were born on July 3, 1939 in New York City.  She graduated from St. Angela Hall Academy in 1957, earned her bachelor’s degree in education at St. John’s University in 1961, and her master’s degree in education at Hunter College in 1964. She earned an additional 30 credits beyond her degrees and taught in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn for nine years.

In 1963, she married John F. Fallon and over the ensuing decades raised their two children in Berkeley Heights, NJ.  Rose was an avid skier and enjoyed hosting her extended family in Killington, VT.  Rose and John split their retirement years between the Jersey Shore and Naples, FL before moving to Naples full-time in 2013.

Rose touched many lives during her full and vibrant life.  In her later years, she made many good friends while enjoying golf, canasta and socializing at her condo community’s pool.  She and her twin sister Helen were “two peas in a pod” who spoke every day before Helen’s passing in 2021.

Rose is survived by her husband of 59 years John F. Fallon; her son John D. Fallon and his wife Jennifer; her daughter Keri Ann Hanley and her husband Rick; and her three beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn Hanley, John M. Fallon and Christopher Fallon. She was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Thomas Gannon, and sister Helen Gannon Williams.
