Allen Eugene Arthur, 56, of Naples passed away Saturday Morning after a continued fight against heart failure.
He was a son to his parents Olice (predeceased) and Marilyn Arthur and sibling to Dale, Lori and Dwayne. He was born in Melbourne but grew up in Naples where he fathered two sons, Allen Michael and Justin Edward. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Everett and Paislee and many nieces and nephews.
Allen grew up in the Woods and Waters of Collier County where he found a passion for building swamp buggies and restoring anything with an engine. He had a gift of mechanics and turning wrenches which he learned from countless hours with his father in their shop on the family property. He was involved with amazing boat and buggy projects including Jamaican Me Crazy, Licensed to Chill, Seminole Wind, No Wet Net, and Margaritaville.
Allen attended Lely High School and followed in his father’s footsteps in career by becoming a skilled professional plasterer. He had an amazing charismatic personality that people flocked to. He was like a bright light to his sons and instilled his same passion for the Everglades and Saltwater in both of them.
He will be forever missed by his family and friends but will be remembered by all of the laughter, good times and memories that were shared through his time here with us. Arrangements can be sent to Fuller Funeral Home East at 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 7pm followed by food and beverages with one last “Cheers” in his honor.
