Dear Leezie, Chris, and Ricky, ( I think some z’s and y’s have dropped over the years)
I was so sorry to see the notice of your mom’s death. What a great lady! Naturally my thoughts went right to that memorable three weeks I spent with your wonderful family in London during the summer of 1965.It was a pivotal time in my life, and your mother’s grace, hospitality, and humor color so many of my recollections. If any of you ever come to Indianapolis, I would savor seeing you again.
With my warm condolences and love, Ellen

Ann Ratliff was indeed a lovely and gracious woman. Her husband, Gene, was my mentor at Eli Lilly and through him it was my pleasure to also meet her. After Gene retired my wife Jane and I would enjoy running into the two of them on many occasions at the Snooty Fox restaurant inn Indianapolis. Even though Gene's sight was failing he would recognize my voice and call us over. Remarkable, wonderful people, I thank God they were in my life. My condolences to the family who can derive solace from the knowledge that both Gene and now Ann led full and wonderful lives. God bless.

Mrs. Ratliff was a gentle, sweet and thoughtful lady. I was lucky to have met her and spend time in her company. It was so wonderful to see how much she loved her family..it radiated from her spirit. “Requiescite in pace.”
