Edward B Dodd

Edward Brown Dodd, formally of Middlebury, CT passed away at the age of 93 on May 20, 2017 at the Bentley Care Center in Naples, FL.  Edward was born on April 6, 1924 in Sharpsburg, MD, the only son of Helen (Harrell) and Paul Edwin Dodd.  He was raised by his Aunt Bea and her husband Bernie Wojciechowski in CT after the death of his mother.  He graduated valedictorian from New Milford High School and attended Post University.  He served in the Air Force during WWII and worked for Anaconda American Brass Company as an executive for 44 years.

Edward loved sports, basketball, football, horse races at Saratoga and especially golf shooting 14 holes in one.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Louise (Peterson) after 64 years of marriage.  He is survived by his sisters-in-law Norma Cummings of Naples, FL, Virginia Gustafson of Southbury, CT, several nieces and nephews and his loving companion Barbara Hurst and her two daughters.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11 m at the Fuller Funeral Home 1625 Pine Ridge Road Naples, FL 34109.  Burial will take place at a later date in New Milford, CT.
