Coleman J. Connell, 88, of Naples, FL died August 2, 2017. Coleman was born in Geneva, in the Finger Lakes area of upstate New York. A graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program, he was employed by Goulds Pumps, Inc. of Seneca Falls, NY for 43 years, retiring in 1992. His last position with the company was Vice President of the Industrial Products Division and Senior Vice President.
Throughout his working life, Coleman held various volunteer positions in the community - - Chairman of the Board of Education of the Seneca Falls school district; the Seven Lakes Council of the BSA; the Finger Lakes Savings Bank and Chairman of the Finger Lakes Health Care System. He also served on the Board of Directors of Goulds Pumps, Inc.; Chase Lincoln Bank; and the Finger Lakes Girl Scouts Council. Since coming to Naples, FL in 1992, Coleman has served as President of the Calais Condominium Assoc., and President of the Pelican Bay Services Division. In his retirement, he researched and published the history of Goulds Pumps, whose inception dated back to 1848

Coleman is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marilyn of Naples; five children - Kathleen Raviele, Richard Connell, Leslie Connell, Paul Connell, all of Atlanta, GA, and Kelly Connell of Granada Hills, CA; six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Services will be private with entombment at Naples Memorial Gardens.
