Dear Judy and Janet,
I spent a little time with both of you in Florida when my mom and my uncle were still alive. My mother was so grateful to have the support of your mother. We both enjoyed the time we spent with your mother and each of you.
Please accept my deepest condolences and know that my thoughts are with you during this time.

Love,
Meg Gilbert

I was a caregiver for Mrs. Tappan at The Glenview and I am so glad that she and I got to share a few stories during my visits to do her grocery shopping. Such a fun-loving, elegant, with-it lady. I truly loved her. On my first visit I noticed the Tappan salt and pepper shakers in her kitchen which my family had as well during my childhood. That started our very first conversation about her background. Please know that she was a great person to work for, always kind and thoughtful. Even though I stopped working at The Glenview a year ago, she would pop into my mind now and then and I know she will be missed tremendously.

I always loved seeing my Aunt Mickie as a child during the annual visits to Ohio. She will be missed. My condolences to the family, especially to Judy and Janet.

It was always a treat when Mickie came to Mansfield and stayed with Miriam.

I miss her.

Judy and family, we are saddened to hear the news of your mother’s passing. Although we hadn’t met her we can see from her picture what a classy and beautiful person she was. You can take comfort in knowing you did everything in your power to provide the best possible care and she was surrounded by loving family and friends. May God give you peace and comfort at this difficult time

How ironic, only yesterday I mailed the letter discussing Mickie. And Judy, you haven't received that letter yet, so I am so sorry if it will be a jarring reminder of your loss. I remember your mother as always kind and welcoming to her children's friends, despite her elegant and regal bearing. We are very sorry for your loss.
