Ricardo Navarro Avila

Ricardo N. Avila, 72, of Naples passed away May 15, 2017. Born in Claveria, Philippines, he was the son of Juanita and Ricardo Avila, Sr.
Ricardo attended the University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine in Manila and practiced general surgery in the Philippines and in Germany before moving to the United States in 1983. In the U.S., he worked in respiratory therapy in Cleveland, OH and in Naples, FL. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church and loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing tennis, and fishing.
Ricardo is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth (Cruz); his children, Aline, Abigaile, Anneliese, and Andrew; and his grandchildren, Allison, Gavin, Andrew, Collin, and James. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass will be offered for the repose of his soul at St. Elizabeth Seton Church on August 4th at 8:00 a.m. and on October 1st at 10:00 a.m. A memorial ceremony and inurnment will be held in Aurora, OH at a later date.
