Ruth L. Grosso

Ruth Lorraine Grosso, age 88, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.  Ruth dedicated her life to her family and friends with love, compassion and loyalty. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, Ruth was an outstanding employee for Dudt Bakery and Giant Eagle Supermarket in Pittsburgh, PA as bakery decorator and cashier. Ruth was totally dedicated to her work and managed each task with urgency, professionalism and care. The many awards and accolades she received were a true testimony of her skills. She was also very proud of the fact that she personally made and decorated each of her children’s wedding cakes. Her fondest memories were of raising her children, attending family events and the many friendships developed as a 21 year resident of Imperial Bonita Springs Estates, FL.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Sidick and One brother, John “Buster’ Sidick and husband Anthony “Jack” Grosso.  She is survived by her four children; Charles Douglas Grosso and his wife Karen of Naples, FL; Dale R. Grosso and his wife Dianne of Dallas, TX; Lynn A. Boyd and her husband David of Naples, FL and LuAnn Tate and her husband Gregory R. of Naples, FL; one sister, Dorothy Pellegrini of Pittsburgh, PA; eight grandchildren, Amanda Voellinger of Wheeling, WV; Kaitlyn Ardigo of Washington, D.C.; Antonio Grosso of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Tairyn Eschenburg of Austin, TX; Nick Grosso of Honolulu, Hawaii; Kylie Grosso of Dallas, TX; Cheyenne Shroyer of Naples, FL and Dakota Boyd of Naples, FL;  and four great grandchildren, Giuliana Voellinger, Kinsley Eschenburg, Jaxon Eschenburg and Giovanni Ardigo.

A private Memorial Service will be held in Florida at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory can be sent to the Frances Georgeson Hospice House, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane,
Naples, FL 34105.
