Mr. Gallipeau was my homeroom/science teacher at Portsmouth Middle School the first year it opened for the 1971/1972 school year. Over the years I have remembered him fondly and when my girls have asked me who my favorite teacher of all was, I happily responded Mr. Gallipeau! May God bring you peace and please know that he touched the hearts of many many students.

George ("Mister Gallipeau") was our science teacher when our class became the first 9th grade class at Barrington High in 1956 and was also our Class Advisor. His energetic and engaging demeanor commanded our interest and attention always. My only disappointment in recollection was that he was on educational leave in our senior year and unavailable to teach physics. May his family be all the more blessed by a far richer treasure of memories.

To the family of Mr. Gallipeau-
I'm sorry for your loss. Mr. Gallipeau was one of the best teachers I ever had. Though I'm sure some teachers thought of me as a "challenge" at times, Mr. Gallipeau always engaged me and, as much as I learned in his class, I learned more and more in the years after due to the curiosity his teaching sparked in me. He made a difference to me, despite the limited time our paths crossed, and he will be missed.

Dear Barbara, We were so sorry to learn of the death of your husband George. How blessed you two were to have re-connected and to have shared the past in Newport as well as your more recent years in Naples. We send much love to your entire family - and to George's as well. Mary & Jim Cooper
